1 is No Fun

That was gross.

Quite possibly the most unbearable game I have ever watched. Everything from the US MNT’s play to the camera production made this one hard to watch. I have decided that you really can’t take too much from this game, all though at impulse I feel like ripping into every player.

Here are some players that stood out for either the right or the wrong reasons.

Beasley-> He just isn’t all there after that knee injury. I don’t see him possessing that game breaker ability yet, and until he gets that back, he may have some competition for his starting spot.

Adu-> Another fairly good game, he’s not taking steps back which is good. It is hard for a player like Freddy to try and show his stuff against Barbados when no body is moving off the ball and all of the blue shirts are packed behind the ball like sardines.

Califf-> Seems to be continuing his good form from the Argentina friendly. I think he is really making a claim for one of those back up center back spots, and looked better than DeMerit today.

Bradley-> Give the kid a rest. Yeah I guess he was solid, but he still looks like he needs a break.

Szetela-> Made a pretty strong claim for an Olympic spot. I still love the potential this kid has and (in the future), could be that other center midfielder to pair with Bradley because I believe he possesses some of the same skills as Feilhaber. Szetela is smooth on the ball and can open things up from a deep lying position.

Who stood out to you and why?
