Behind the Scenes at El Clasico

March 4th, 2009 | By: Brooks Peck | 2 Comments »

A few notes:

-When did Clint Demspey start looking like Shaggy from Scooby Doo?

-The NFL Films style music near the beginning got me insanely pumped up.

-Nice reminder of how awesome Frankie Hejduk was in that match.

-Anyone else think Gooch’s voice should sound more like Dennis Haysbert’s?

-Think I saw Ching’s nose start to bleed around the 3:24 mark.

-Why does Frankie feel so compelled to rationalize Mexico’s dirty play?

-The “dos a cero” chant at the end of the match was pretty sick.

-Awesome.

Am I missing something here brooks or are you a little late with your commentary?

And no thoughts on the return of Landy? I thought surely there would be a story about how he is coming back, but Bianca has decided to extend her “loan” to Luca Toni through the end of the season, and is expected to re-join Landon in so-cal after the Bundesliga later this summer (in time to begin taping next season’s episodes of her show, “Whatever It Is”).

Come on, I only posted it a couple days after it was released. What do you want from me?

As for Landy, what more is there to say? I was calling the failure of this loan long before it happened and Carter has been chronicling it over at DT.
