Only one of these guys will be in Mexico City on Wednesday

August 10th, 2009 | By: Brooks Peck | 6 Comments »

That’s Blanco, Lampard, and…Kljestan on the North American cover of FIFA 10, continuing EA’s interesting choices of American cover boys (last year was Maurice Edu).

Anyway, for everyone like Sacha who won’t be at the Azteca for the big Mexico vs. USA World Cup Qualifier on Wednesday, we’ll be liveblogging it right here. Hooray! So do join us, as we all try and figure out what nonsense channel mun2 is on together.

So stoked for this game. I was in Columbus for the first tie and all I can say is that this match has a lot more on it between the teams after the Hejduk incident in the tunnel. Expect hard, ferocious tackles (something I love), and a rowdy god-awful crowd to add fuel to the fire.

For those who do not know, mun2 is an NBC affiliate and have made the game available to all national NBC outlets. Call your cable company or your local NBC network to find what channel it is on or if they are showing it. If they are not, call them, get your friends to call them, and their friends, etc.

Come Wednesday, get the drinks in, get rowdy, and get excited.

Freddy looks to be going to Odense in Denmark. Finished second in the Danish SuperLeague last year. Not considered to be a big team and hopefully Freddy will get playing time.

I personally think this is great news for Freddy. Odense has actually been a very solid club in Denmark the past 8 seasons winning the league cup twice. They’re currently second this year and have a strong squad. If Freddy can break into the starting XI quickly this will be the perfect situation for a struggling Adu. Not to mention Denmark has 5 other US players in the league including Benny, Parkhurst and the up and coming Jeremiah White, which should help.
