US vs. Trinidad & Tobago Live Blog

It’s all about the Next Generation tonight as the US takes on the Soca Warriors in Trinidad tonight (8pm, ESPN). The OFFICIAL US MNT blog reports that DaMarcus Beasley will captain this young side, so if any of these guys need to go to the bathroom or don’t like the toy in their happy meal they’ll have to go through him. And if they get on his nerves, DMB isn’t afraid to turn the bus around and go home! Or something like that.

Anyway, live blog. Should be fun. Ignore the politics and the baseballs (but go Phils!). Stop playing FIFA 09 for two hours. Submit comments. The ones we like will be used. Poop.

BUT FIRST! If you’re early to the party or you missed it before, check out our live blog of the last match against T&T. Not only will it remind you how thankful we should be that Brian Ching isn’t on the roster for this one, but it might even make you feel all warm and fuzzy inside (especially if you’ve been drinking gasoline all afternoon).

the usa will get a eake up call tonight. no B team is going to compete with a TnT team that has three english premier league starters and the incomparable Russel “little magician” Latapy on the roster. The USA should have rolled out the semi big gung in their squad. Good for TnT heh.

I like the line-up from the midfield forward. The backs are suspect. It nices to have a group with some serious 1v1 capability

I believe that every game, ever, anywhere, needs to be played to the accompaniment of a steel drum band.

That is all.

I called it and behold it came to past. TnT have won. I warned that the US should have rolled out the semi-big guns in their squad while TnT calledout the big guns Yorke one of the best premier league strikers ever. carlos premier league midfielder, latapy former European club championship team member with porto, not to mention stern john former MLS super star and former premier league player

val: we already qualified for the next round…we didn’t need to roll out the “big guns”. This was an experience game for our younger guys.

Now when I look at the picture at the top of this post I see Jozy as being in excruciating pain instead of unspeakable joy.

That performance last night was rough.

The US should stick to what works, fact is we have seen the need to call up the big guns Yorke,Latapy,Carlos Edwards, Jason Socotland and Stern John.
Oh did i mention that for the next round we are going to unveil the most feared striker in the Concacf (Kenwyne Jones) so next round i predict the same result.
See You again
