USA vs. Trinidad and Tobago Live Blog Spectacular

September 10th, 2008 | By: Brooks Peck | 11 Comments »

Here we go — USA vs. Trinidad and Tobago (8 pm ET on ESPN2 and Galavision…whatever that is). While this could turn out to be another one of Boring Bob’s patented coma-inducers, it’ll be our job to keep each other entertained and awake, so — HAAAAAAAAAAAAA! AH! — see? That was just a test.

Anyway, this will work just like the Guatemala live blog we did a few weeks ago. Like last time, you can submit your own comments throughout the match and Carter and I will use the ones we like in the live blog.

Sound good? Everyone ready?

Alright, let’s live blog the crap out of this thing…

BUT FIRST! In case you’re early to the party or you missed it before, here’s my Half-Assed Preview of the match.

Clearly only a league soccer game.
Normally Wednesday is wing night, that I could skip.

i’d love to see Wynne get his first WC qualifying cap here, alternatively i would also accept not seeing Pearce at all.

GeeDub: what about Pearce’s play do you dislike? I know he doesn’t push forward a lot and isn’t the fastest defender but I think his technique is usually pretty solid.

Wasn’t it Pearce who was getting consistently burned against Guatemala? Maybe it was Dolo…

Since the Live Blog doesn’t seem to be up yet I’ll post here. The starting line-up is; Howard, Cherundolo/Onyewu/Bocanegra/Pearce, Sacha/Bradley, Beasley/Donovan/Dempsey, Ching. First impression is god i’m tired of watching Ching. Second is, nice Sacha gets a start, lets see what he can do.

Got a problem with that, Marlon?

Also, nice of you to show up right after the match ends. Great timing.
