September Commenter of the Month
Friends, Romans, countrymen, lend me your ears….
For the first ever winner of the Commenter of the Month Contest Extravaganza has been officially chosen!!! (Excitement, Cheers, Glee fill the interweb air…)
The powers that be at this very site, that being Me and Brooks, that’s Brooke to you Marlon, spent many an endless night cutting out little pieces of paper to put screen names of all of the commenters that posted on the site during September on and putting them into funny looking top hat in order to pick our winner from. Ok, not really, but we did put a little bit of thought into this.
With that said, I am proud to present to you the first ever Commenter of the Month (drum roll please)….
BMatthews!!! (applause, pandemonium, fire works)
Although Brooks tried to declare himself the winner, BMatthews just edged him thanks to the sheer number of his quality, insightful, and sometimes humorous comments. Plus a staff writer can’t really win. The rule book says it’s a no no. Just imagine what the reaction was like when I told Brooks that…
You can expect the “expert” musings of BMatthews to appear on the USA main page soon. And who knows? Maybe teeing off on BMatthews post will put you on the right track towards becoming America’s Next Top Model…er…I mean our second ever Commenter of the Month.
Let the countdown begin.

Why is there so little coverage of the US NT on this blog. These articles are silly with little substance regarding the US team.

Hopefully this “Brook” thing doesn’t become a thing.
Marek: There are a lot of lulls in activity between qualifying games and the actual World Cup. Carter and BrookS aren’t exactly just going to let their site to stay inactive while waiting for games and important news. That and they’re clearly humorists at heart. If you’re not down with their steaze we can get some codeine so you can relax.

Just for the record, I found the above picture and I’m really quite proud of it.
Also, Marek: Yeah, what Marlon said.

Brooks…the real question is. Where DID you find my high school picture? Also I’ll be writing my shitty post this weekend. Expect nothing but dick and hooker jokes.

Carter I just noticed the Eagles Suck tag….nice work

Wow, even I didn’t notice that tag. What an ass.

He’s sneaky…you’ve got to watch out for that.

BMatthews: I do my best with the tags, and I look forward to your hooker’s with dicks who take shits jokes.

Your low-brow comedy works for me. My favorite place to post from is the John, thanks to (flush) my phone this is possible, even though my phone thinks I am flushing…er, posting from somewhere in Germany.

It’s funny people have issues with this blog. There just isn’t enough news on the USMNT or the players in the pool to bring news everyday. In fact, the light hearted comedic value of most posts is the only reason I continue to visit this blog on a regular basis.

Oh, and if people are yearning for news I’ll throw in a tid-bit. Standard Liege (Oguchi Onyewu’s team) ousted Time Howard’s Everton from the UEFA Cup First Round with a 2-1 victory (4-3 aggregate) on a 79th PK by Milan Jovanovich.

Whoops…Time Howard is supposed to read Tim Howard. My bad homie!

Milan Jovanovich? She was good in Dazed and Confused.
Also, yeah, once Bob actually announces his roster for the next qualifiers, we’ll be all over it, but until then, I hope you enjoy the coke and hookers.

Okay Marlon, I’ll check-in here as matches get closer, and perhaps more anyway – but it’s tough for a newcomer to follow (some of the humor). Which Eagles suck? US youth teams, Philadelphia US football, or hopefully not the Bialo Czerwoni (could be better yes, hope they turn it around). I would like to learn more about US MNT and players, so I’ll be back. for now I can get some info from wikipedia and surf about from there. Cheers.

Marek, first off, thanks for your interest. Secondly, yeah, we mean the Philadelphia Eagles (the greatest American football team there is). And finally, if you wan to catch up the US MNT, check the categories on right side of the USA blog mainpage — you can access all of past posts from there on the topics you’re looking to learn more about.

Thanks Brooks, …honored for your reply to my post. yes, I’ll check-out past post. Current posts 10/3 very interesting (i.e. Torres! , and got to like the strong US Defense!). Interesting site/blog – have fun, that is most important. I talked to a friend about the Eagles — go Westbrook!!, must be great athlete.
