Roster for England Friendly Announced

Bob Bradley has called his first squad to the training pitch for the much anticipated Revolutionary War rematch against England at the New Wembley. Those called are as follows…
GOALKEEPERS - Dominic Cervi (Out of Contract), Brad Guzan (Chivas USA), Tim Howard (Everton FC)
DEFENDERS - Carlos Bocanegra (Fulham FC), Dan Califf (FC Midtjylland), Steve Cherundolo (Hannover 96), Jay DeMerit (Watford FC), Oguchi Onyewu (Standard de Liege), Michael Orozco (San Luis), Heath Pearce (Hansa Rostock), Jonathan Spector (West Ham United)
MIDFIELDERS - Freddy Adu (SL Benfica), DaMarcus Beasley (Glasgow Rangers), Michael Bradley (SC Heerenveen), Ricardo Clark (Houston Dynamo), Benny Feilhaber (Derby County), Eddie Lewis (Derby County)
FORWARDS - Clint Dempsey (Fulham FC), Landon Donovan (Los Angeles Galaxy), Nate Jaqua (Out of Contract), Eddie Johnson (Fulham FC), Josh Wolff (Out of Contract)
All and all a fair roster to the MLS coaches back in the states. Only three MLS players taken, all pretty necessary in my estimation. Donovan is straight killing kids in the homeland, and it wouldn’t surprise me to see him nab a goal on the big stage here. Brad Guzan is struggling hard right about now, so hopefully the international training alongside Timmy and the likes is enough to have him strap on his mean face again and get back to the business of impressing Martin O’Neil at Villa. The other was Ricardo Clark…not much to say on that, needs to keep showing up on the international stage to stay in the Bob’s good graces as we head down the stretch to qualifying (can you believe it?).
Other interesting members of note…
Michael Orozco - The American playing waaay down south who impressed in Olympic Qualifying earns a call up for the senior side. An enticing young prospect for the backline who could pave the way for more Mexican Americans making the jump to the USA Nat Team. (See Jorge Flores in the future…)
Freddy Adu - Was there a contract clause, was there not? Who knows (although I thought I read somewhere there were rumors floating that there wasn’t). With yet another new manager to be added to the fold, Freddy’s chance to play at Benfica will again be given a clean slate; for better or for worse. Although, on Benfica’s current tour of Africa, Adu netted against the Cape Verde Island squad. Umm…nice.
DaMarcus Beasley - Fresh off the injury and Ranger’s UEFA Cup loss to Zenit, let’s see how the recovery went and if the Bease is in it for the long haul on the left wing.
Benny Feilhaber - Ooh Benny boy, what happenned? Between the rumors of a fight between him and Freddy in training, and his fall from planet Earth after his move to Derby, the next chapter of the Feilhaber story is going to be the most important one. Hopefully it is not the last.
Your thoughts on the roster? Who needs to step it up? Who is on the up and up?

I would rather see Altidore at forward than Jugua. But, there are two more friendlies, so he’ll get his chance.

Yeah, shame Altidore won’t be there. I’m convinced the kid is quality, but would love to see him go up against someone like Rio Ferdinand to see how he does.

Is this match on tv?

Umm sorry if this is old news but why again is Taylor Twellman not anywhere to be seen?

yep its on tv alright on Espn Classic at 11.50am PST
