Welcome to the Shop Window, Michael Bradley
Wednesday’s match against England at the new Wembley is a big match for a lot of reasons.
But to Michael Bradley, this match may mean a little more.
As we have all heard a million times by now, there are a plethora of clubs interested in the services of the young Bradley. I mean seriously, who doesn’t want a beastly, gritty, ball winner, who also managed to pump in 17 goals this year.
While there has been talk of Bundesliga and Serie A teams interested, the sheer girth of the rumors are born in the land of fish n’ chips and bad teeth.
The premiership clubs that are “reportedly” (and I use that term loosely, this s the English press we are talking about) interested in Bradley includes but is not limited to: Blackburn, Everton, Middlesbrough, West Ham, Aston Villa, and even Manchester United had few rumblings at some point (ha).
And just once more, remember, that is in addition to other clubs on the continent not located in England. Europe ain’t too big, so I am sure you can expect some of those scouts to be in attendance to.
It has been known for the better part of the year that Bradley was to leave Heerenven to “move up”, so to speak, in Europe’s footballing world. The new Wembley is the perfect stage for Michael Bradley. He could not be any more squarely in the shop window than he will be for those 90 minutes across the pond. Where he wants to go and where he ends up, it’s all on him.

Hey be nice my mother is English…:) With that being said the English press, including Sky Sports, is on their own planet indeed. The press and the fans have no respect for the US National Team and as much as I wanted to give them a damn good thrashing another part of me could care less. We are on our way and it is just a matter of time before we win a World Cup. If we didn’t have to compete for players with the NFL,NBA, MLB and the NHL we would already have won it numerous times. As much as I love English league football, having grown up on it, I think Bradley would be better off at Hamburg who is said to have made an offer for him. I for one am tired of seeing American players playing with struggling EPL teams. Put Wayne Rooney at Reading or Fulham and lets see how good he would do…hey wait we’ve seen that with England…:) Cheers and thanks for a great blog!
