Arena Names Starting XI (Adu On Bench)
Bruce Arena Has Named His Starting XI for the Canada game and it looks like this:
GK: Reis
RB: Hejduk
LB: Pearce
CB: Pope
CB: Conrad
DM: Ben Olsen
CM: Donovan
CM: Dempsey
RF: Twellman
CF: Ching
LF: Wolff
He’s gone for a Chelsea type formation with Ben Olsen in the Clause Makelele role, leaving Donovan and Dempsey free to attack. You can see a visual representation of the XI here.
The subs bench looks like this:
Hartman, Dunivalt, Klein, Adu, Zavagnin, Rolfe, Johnson
So Freddy Adu could be making his international debut tonight. Maybe.

Interesting lineup. Pearce has come out on nowhere to get a look at left back. Not sure I like Twellman and Ching combination but game on, let’s see how it works.

I have no idea what Arena sees in Hedjuk. The guy has lost his speed and is not a good defender. I really hope he doesn’t go with the team to Germany but somehow I think we are stuck with him. He is this year’s Agoos.
