I don't know if he was condescending, but I doubt that he'd pat Bill Belichick, Bill Parcells, Phil Jackson or Joe Paterno on the back like that.

Greenie is always condescending (or seems to be); that's just his natural, normal demeanor.

Of course, he's also entertaining. Which is why he's got a pretty good radio show with the Mike in the morning.

What really got me was the one guy who "gears up for the World Cup", but today it was his "job to be a fan."

That's fine if he doesn't really like soccer. I don't have a problem with that. But, with an event as large and important as the World Cup, is it too much to ask that ESPN find someone whose passion is to be a fan?

That was a good video. Whats interesting was how large the ESPN studios were and to realize that soccer isnt even a part of it kinda sucks. Oh well.

jjburch - I thought the sports casters were their usual selves. Im not putting words in your mouth but they didnt seem disrespectful, just full of themselves as they normally are.

Aw, I didn't think he was condescending. He was just acting like any American sports commentator who (like much of the rest of this strange little country of ours) doesn't ultimately give a rat's ass about the beautiful game.
