Ching Has 13 Stitches After Training Collision

June 11th, 2006 | By: Daryl | 11 Comments »

Brian Ching has had 13 stitches in a gash above his right eye after a collision in training.

Arena refused to say who the collision was with, but I’m offering the following odds:

Brian McBride: 10/1
Brian McBride’s welt from the Latvia game: 15/1
Oguchi Onyewu: 8/1
Little Steve Cherundolo: 100/1
Eddie Johnson: 11/1
Clint Dempsey’s Fist: 8/1

I’ll have to go with Deuce: “Though I’m quick with my feet, you ain’t seen the fist.”

i dont think eskandarian would be an improvement over Wolff.

Wolff did have that crucial assist against Mexico in 2002, even if he is softer than a feather pillow at the international level.

Mia Hamm would be an improvement over Josh Wolff, or Bruce Murray for that matter….he’s a stain, and shouldn’t be in the first eleven for the Kansas City Wizards.

13 choices superor to wolff:
1. casey
2. eskandarian
3. rolfe
4. j. johnson
5. adu
6. nguyen
7. cooper
8. arvizu
9. quaranta
10. zimmerman
11. razov
11. twellman
12. jaqua
13. j. walker

I don’t know about the cut, maybe the new ball? Ha, whatever, I just want to wish the MNT good luck tomorrow. I have total faith in them. I am proud of these guys who get so little respect, but continue to ‘upset’ teams all the time. Go USA! We’ll be watching in SoCal.

J,
I agree with you, Casey is by far a better forward than wolff/ching… Casey not as fast as Wolff but faster than Ching, though Casey is better in the air than those two, he defends well and fights for the ball, the most important is reason is that he is familiar with european style, referees, football fields, weather, etc. wolff/ching will never play for any German team.

The thing is that Casey came back from an injury back in April. In all fairness, I dont know why Arena never game Casey a chance to get back in form and eventually on the team, Bruce gave JOB a chance..right?

Arena said at a press conference that Ching was hit by a car.

I’m sure the driver was honking the horn and it sounded like “GOOOOOCH! GOOOOOOCH!”
