Wake up Rolfe

Chicago Fire striker Chris Rolfe has been keeping a Bridget Jones style diary of his USA training camp experience in California.

Seems poor Rolfe is struggling with the Mid-West / West Coast time difference. Even though he’s putting the effort in at training, all he wants to do is sleep.

Rolfe should be more worried about his ability to score than his sleep. The guy is a terrible finisher and has no right to even be considered for the national team. Garbage player who should stick to being Bridget Jones.

We’ll find out soon enough. Arena’s going to cut seven players before the game against Canada on 1/22.

This is like a training camp for MLS. I don’t see how Rolfe or most of the strikers Arena has brought in has a chance of replacing the European based strikers.

Players like Twellman, Wolff, Johnson and Ching could easily make the plane to Germany.

It’s true that Rolfe and Jaqua will probably fall by the wayside but at least this training camp gives Arena a chance to see them up close for an extended period.

Remember Rolfe is only 22 (he’s 23 next Tuesday if you want to send him a birthday present) so it’s good experience for him to be at the camp.

I cant believe someone said rolfe is a terrible finisher… I played up top with chris rolfe for 2 years and know first hand the kid is the best finisher I ever seen. His nack for finding the back of the net is astonishing. He makes the players around him better by his movement off and on the ball.He is still young and if you havent seen he has been tearing it up throughout the training camp.
