Dempsey Suspended Afer Punch Up With Team Mate
Clint Dempsey has been suspended for two weeks by New England Revolution for ”conduct detrimental to the team,” after he was involved in a fist fight with Revolution captain Joe Franchino during practice.
Bruce Arena is unlikely to be impressed, but whether this affects Dempsey’s involvement in the Germany friendly remains to be seen.

He’s now officially been dropped for the Germany game.

I think this most likely means that Arena’s mind is already made up, and that Dempsey will make the final 23. It’s disappointing for alot of fans though; most people I speak to are desperate to see Dempsey perform against better competition. The remaining warmups aren’t as stiff a test as the Germans in Dortmund.
