Eddie Johnson Joins Wizards
FC Dallas has traded Eddie Johnson to Kansas City Wizards for two draft picks. Johnson will partner fellow MNT striker Josh Wolff up front for his new team. Great signing for the Wizards, but I’d always assumed that Johnson’s next move would be to Europe. His pace, power and direct approach seems ideally suited to the English Premiership.

“say it aint so….” I know that Dallas has some good forwards that will do fine but you need to get something to show for this type of player. Allocations may be great sometime but they may be flops as well. This seems to be awful for Dallas and great for Kansas City.

Johnson’s biggest problem has been his health. he was rumored to be headed to Europe last year after he went on that WC qualifying tear, but MLS nixed that and then he got injuried and now he gets sent to the purgatory known as KC.

Why would anyone assume EJ’s next move would be to Europe when he hasn’t been playing for months?
He may be going there shortly after the World Cup, and since Dallas has other forwards why not trade him while he still is in the US and get some picks for him?
Nice move by Dallas.
