He is fast and is starting to finish whatever chances he stumbles upon but he is still tactically inept and over uses the back pass when he should be taking defenders on.

But the last few games I’ve seen him in, he’s standing still. Be an option! Run to an open area! If the ball is in play, you have no excuse to stand still or walk away from it!

Am I really the only one who sees him playing in what seems a subpar way? I know he could do better. There were a few times in the game against Argentina in which he stood in the box while a teammate was struggling to run down the line and look for an open man to pass to. Not everyone is going to cross the ball directly to you, but if you move somewhere else, maybe they can get you the ball.
