Germans Expecting To Rout USA
Following their teams recent 4-1 surrender to Italy, German fans are expecting to restore some national pride by hammering USA. Though it might be too much to expect another European victory from Arena’s depleted roster, Deutschlanders expecting a landslide for their team should prepare for disappointment.

Daryl,
I agree completely that Germans looking for a rout will be disappointed, but I also wondered if, in some way, this could be a sign of implicit respect for the US team?

I think this is the perfect time for the Germans to get that type of victory. The USA is not sending its best mdifielders, so they could be playing defense most of the game. However I do not recall the last time that Arena’s team got routed. I think the USA loses by a score of 2-1.

Such a depleted US squad. We seem to be missing at least 6 probable World Cup starters.
This match seems to be much more worthwhile as another squad tryout rather than the WC warmup I’d hoped it would be. Or is it still too early to have a warmup that would mean something?
