To be sure. But Murray has been a steady head to that ship, judging from his loyalty to Curbs. I’d feel more comfortable joining a club like that than, say, the mags.

Of course, and in this article Gibbs says he's been talking to Richard Murray (Charlton chairman) not Curbs. Definitley a great move for Gibbs, and I think he's got what it takes to do well. I just think it's a strange situation to be joining a club not knowing who your boss will be.

The strange thing is that current Charlton boss Alan Curbishly is quitting , so Gibbs has no idea who his coach will be next season.

Not a smart move my Gibbs at this point, in my opinion.

Why rush to sign so soon before Germany. I’d wait until after the WC, then sign. If he has a decent cup, he could probably get a much better deal than he signed.

Very cool. It will be interesting to see what happens to some of the domestic based players after the World Cup. Will any end up in Europe, etc..

This is good — with Reading (and maybe also Leeds or Watford?) going up, it’s almost to the point where the USA could field a pretty decent team from American EPL players. Perhaps a bit more respect from the Brits, then?
