Gooch is official

He looks good in the rossoneri.

Here’s a good article about the deal and a few words from Gooch on the US MNT’s newfound domestic fame. [Canadian Press]

He made a really awful read on the first goal scored by CA tonight but otherwise I thought he played very well. He created one of the best opportunities of the night late in the second half by nodding down a ball right to the feet of a striker who completely blew the chance. He also chested a ball down to the same player who again did nothing with the play. He will be a force on set plays not only by getting to the ball but also by taking up space and freeing up other players and I think with his improved timing he will do just fine in the middle. He needs to get comfortable quick though if he wants to snatch up a starting position.

I like Gooch, not really a fan of Italian soccer though but I’m glad he is getting big recognition.

Proud day to be a fan of US Football (Soccer). I always catch Italian football on Fox soccer channel after I watch my EPL games=. Do you think Donovan will be next?

MEXICO WINS, GOLD CUP 2009, BY KNOCKOUT.

Let it be a lesson for the USA national team coach, when you play a final for the Gold cup, you better bring your best players or face destroying with your feet what you created with your hands. Reaching the final of the Confederations cup against Brazil was a great accomplishment and even loosing the final was not a negative for their reputation or soccer world rankings, in fact that game alone created a great deal of respect and interest for American players among the great European teams.

The loss against Mexico, for the Gold cup final was by knockout. Mexico played a lot better, had better coaching more hearth, infinitely more desire and vastly superior talent on the field. The USA team had the biggest players in physical stature with a dwarf soccer IQ, no creativity and one dimensional. Highly defensive, highly inoffensive ,to win titles you need creative minds who create offensive plays that culminate in goals, against Mexico, coach Bradley planted a team of robots with no programming for free creative flow, when Mexico took the lead in the game, their computer crashed.! Rage against the machine!.

Thanks for that William, posting about Mexico in a post about Onyewu in Milan. Thanks, but I think I’ll pass on your website.
