Kasey Keller’s blog has been updated. Looks like it will be every Friday from now on. Highlights from this one:

“You will always find a crime novel packed in my carry-on luggage, preferably something with a serial killer in the starring role.”

“Driving from the airport to the national team’s camp in Cary, I noticed a lot of kids playing soccer on the empty baseball diamonds. I see more of that every time I get back here.” (I keep seeing this too)

For all the goals scored by the oponents, Keller has his part. In the first goal if you remember Kasey gets the ball and kicks it right away long where there is none of american players and the ball comes back fast and the cross, Keller does nothing. What should Keller have done?:- hold the ball wait until your team players go forward. Second goal. Keller was unprepared and not in the right position. He was too much on the right side. I am 38 yrs old. I have played goaly for 30 yrs and noone has scored in my goal from a 35 yard or longer distance. In the third goal he had to tackle the attacker. He had a much better chance to stop the ball if he ran toward the oponent and surprise him. Istead he stayed back and gave him all the time to shoot and score. There is no doubt in my mind that Keller is not the best goaly in America. Arena should have been more around and check for the best players. One more advise for Keller. Kasey you are payed from american citizens to do your job, not to make political comments and not wait to say something bad about your government and the president. What do you think, are you going to be more simpathetic to mexicans or to arabs? If you are afraid of facing the challenge, you better let someone else do that job. So, to you and all american leftists; Shut your hole and do the job you are expected to do. Noone wants to hear your stupid political comments.

It is different to play a regular game than playing in a world cup!
I know Keller made mistakes, but he can’t be the only one to be blamed! You should look at the defenders too.
I was a goalkeeper ( handball) for a long time and had to rely on my defenders. They left gaps, there was a good chance fot the other teams to score!
What hs Keller said to make you so mad? What has he said about his country, or president?
I think you are just upset that the USA lost and you let it out on someone you think deserves it!
I like Keller, faults that come with everybody, have to be accepted!Maybe you should keep your hole shut!
