Meethinks someone has a crush on Alex Morgan

Did you just watch the U-20 Women’s World Cup final on ESPN today? Cause I dunno who the announcer was but that guy certainly had his panties in a bunch all over Alex Morgan. During the first half, he flat out said she was the best player on the US side. Then, after she scored her – admittedly – brazilliant goal (if I can find a video, I’ll post it), he slipped in the comment: “all the superlatives in the world do not do Alex Morgan justice.” Well, I guess it was a very nice goal. But seriously, much praise goes out to Morgan for spicing up the US offense a bit. For a while there, the game saw a little bit more than “kick ball long and hope it finds Lone Leroux.” So congrats to Leroux & Morgan for scoring. Congrats to Leroux for winning the Golden Boot. So… uh… I guess my complaints about the US offense are kind of moot since they hella won with it. Oh and congrats to the US for winning another U-20 World Cup. But the final congrats go out to the North Korean team for managing to all coordinate wearing matching haircuts.

The guy has a point. I watched the first half of the game and if I’m being honest Alex Morgan is smoking hot.

Anyways, I was very surprised with how willing the US was to move the ball around and really build up their attack. They did do a bit of dump and run but the midfield was very solid and the US absolutely dominated the first half.

I think I’ve just watched that formation fail so many times with different teams… I was really surprised to see how well coach Tony made it work with these players. A very talented bunch. Not just Morgan. The goals are up on the FIFA site now.

As brazilian I’m used to see soccer games and american team was superb !
Including Alex Morgan , a new Barbie, as south american press has published.

I think everybody has fallen in love with Alex Morgan. The hispanic media is calling her the beautiful princess Morgan. That was a beautiful goal and am pretty sure we will be hearing more of her in the future.

Hi!
I’ts true, a lot of guy was crushed on her (’im included). In the transmission on TV, the camera man as a defender!! always With ALEX, near to her. Also, she had a fan site on facebook with over 3000 fans!!

She is beatiful, but is not a maradona, pele o something like that. Maybe, we can find best players in your team, as Leroux, Enyeart, Winters, Dallstream… etc, but they don’t have the pretty face of Alex.

Hey! (I’m from Russia too, lol)

I was watching the game online at fifa.com and felt exactly the same way.
The guy obviously had a crush on Morgan, pointing that she’s the best player from the US squad and was very excited when she had her moments. The funny thing is that our Russian commentator was all the same too.
Actually, I don’t get why is everyone so obsessed with her and not the Leroux, who’s my personal fav. And Nicki Washington was pretty awesome too, as well as Reed and Winters and other girls from the US team. Anyway, gratz from Russia!
