New World Cup Warm Up Game vs. Jamaica

February 21st, 2006 | By: Daryl | 1 Comment »

Adding to an impressive World Cup preparation schedule, The Nat’s play Jamaica in Cary, N.C. on April 1st. The game will be broadcast live on ESPN2, kick off 7 p.m. Eastern.

Is it just me or are our World Cup preparations looking particularly good? I’m really encouraged by the way it’s been worked, with the MLS players getting their chance recently, then (hopefully) the pick of that bunch getting to mix in with the European players in March.

Surely there can’t be any complaints about the way a potentially complicated situation has been handled?

The only complaint I have is Jamaica is a dirty team and this puts our guys at the risk for injury. I think in terms of style, the Reggae Boyz are similiar to Ghana so I can see why this was scheduled but I’ll be nervous watching for injuries.
