Practice Makes Perfect

May 31st, 2009 | By: Marlon | 1 Comment »

Things to note from this video of the USMNT practice in Miami:

1. Clint Dempsey looks so much smoother on the ball then the rest of his teammates combined.
2. Charlie Davies skins poor Jonathan Spector about three different times.
3. Little Bradley gets to play all time offense.
4. A lot of the team still hasn’t arrived.

I often wonder if Clint doesn’t give it his all against what he may deem as lesser competition. He is supremely talented with arguably the best ball skills on the USMNT and high quality finishing yet when we play against the CONCACAF teams he seems to disappear. I will be interested to see how he plays in the confederations cup because we will be playing some of the worlds best starting out in group play. Also, I think that Spector will slowly work his way into the starting line-up for WC2010 as his club experience and overall skill level will be invaluable, as long as he stays healthy that is.
