here it is…. in america(u.s.), futbol’ or soccer as we put it; is’nt really that popular. a huge percentage of the population could care less who wins the world cup. anyhow, i think it will be funny if team usa pulls off a world cup victory…. even with our lack of interest in the sport, we’re slowly pumping out great talent in the world. just think if america loved soccer like baseball. we’d be unstopable.

Don’t you think that if the US people were able to ‘wake up’ to soccer, they would have done so when the USA team reached the quarter finals last year? What evidence is there that another sucessful world cup campaign will do any good?

This world cup i will be supporting
the US team as should you malik. If the US advances far in the tournament that will be a huge push for the games popularity in the states. You live in the US so you should be the first to stand on the side of the US national team waving the flag with pride. Who can argue that the greatest thing this summer is for the US to win the world cup and push the games popularity to a new level. What better scenario is that? So instead of talking about how the US national team is going to lose how about you take some national pride and root for the US and hope that at the end of the tournament the US people will realize what a beautiful game soccer is and develop an interest in the game of soccer for once. What soccer fan in the US can argue with that?

I forgot to mention that Ivory Coast is the best African country and although they are in the group of death they will make it very close. How many points did Ghana have in the African nations cupMalik? I know they did not have Essien because he was injured while playing for Chelsea but still they did not play well Their world cup warm in in Dallas vs Mexico they were beaten 1 to 0. Thats why I mentioned they relied on Essien alot and they need a goal scorer or scorer’s. That’s Ghana’s weakness scoring goals. If I am wrong let me know.

Not mad Malik, Italy has the best team then Czech then US, and finally Ghana. That is based on pure talent. Now Italy has the most world cup experience of the 4 and has Totti,Toni, Girlandino, and a great defensive midfield along with a stingy backline and the best keeper in the world. Ghana is very fast,fearless and has arguably the best midfielder in the group in Essien. Czech has a dominant striker thats lethal in the air + Milan Baros I loved Nedved when he was younger he is still very good but has slowed down a little. About what you said Claudio Reyna could start on either Italy or Czeck, Casey Keller, Landon Donovan.I am a fan of football not of US, Italy or Ghana. I just simply said that get the facts before you make predictions. You were talking about this is NOT A baseball tournament and it would be the 1st real soccer match the US has played in a longtime. You said the US are not a good team I think they are better than Mexico not by much they beat them 8 out of the last 10 times , Czeck is better than US but also by a slim margin. Like I said but you ignored because you thought I was a US fan ITALY is in a class by themselves

I gotta agree with Evan. That empty space on the replica jerseys is pretty conspicuous.

However, even with the addition of the jersey number, I still prefer the white strip.

Craig, dont be mad. The truth always hurts. USA doesnt have one player that can start on czech nor italy. Ghana on the other hand has 2 good goal scorers. Dont be surprised when you are crying about ghanas mastery of american”soccer”. Ghana should have been in the cup many o times, but unfortunately they qualify in africa, where its tough competition. They dont qualify vs the likes of barbados and el slavador, and countries that unfortuntaely have not many skilled atheletes. USA has it all, but they will never win buddy.when they make south and north america one qualification bracket for the cup, and than USA qualifies, maybe then i will respect them, until than they havnt proven nothin, except that they can cut good oranges at half time. “get my facts straight”? My USA predictions:italy vs: 4-1(italy)czech vs:3-0 (czech)ghana vs2-2. Advice:
INVEST MORE MONEY INTO THE IMMIGRATION OF CENTRAL AMERICANS, IT IS YOUR ONLY CHANCE TO HAVE A DECENT FOOTBALL TEAM ONE DAY! LOL, U GUYS STINK.HAHAH
