I am sick and tired of seeing these uninspiring call ups for the national team. I believe we are heading for disaster at the 2010 WC.

Actually, Mark's finishing is pretty good when he's in shape. Which is...rare.

What is going on inside BB's head? Does this man have a grand-master scheme prepared for 2010? The US National Team is heading in the wrong direction and the suits at the helm need to be removed.

Well, with that ranting out of the way, it's great to see Wynne being rewarded for his Beijing performance with a call up to the Nats. But what exactly is Bradley's motivation for calling up Orozco? I thought for sure his long-term future with the Nats was severely damaged after his elbow spasm.

What do you guys think about the back 4 though. I think Wynn should be starting at right back. At left back it's a ?, but Orozco shouldn't even be a consideration. He got torched by japan, and wasn't much better against the dutch. He was outstanding in his 3 minutes against Nigeria though, so I could be wrong (sarcasm Carter, quit typing). I guess I like Bornstein more than anybody else right now.

Eh, Adu and Altidore are better served career wise to stay with their club teams at this inception. Jozy may actually be seeing some major minutes (http://redbulls.theoffside.com/red-bulls/bulls-abroad-jozy-altidore.html) and Adu is also in a transition state with a new team. If either cracks the starting lineup, i wouldnt expect to see much of them through the early going. If they are riding heavy bench minutes, thats a different story.

As far as Cooper goes, I have to keep saying - he will not be made available until FC Dallas calls it quits this season. Bradley feels he has enough to work with up top, but with Dempsey and Ching playing some so so ball, Coopers time may be forced upon him.

My thoughts exactly Carter. Tough to criticize BB too much, but...man, you have to wonder. Orozco certainly didn't do anything in the Olympics to have raised his stock. Hejduk can't be our intended right back for 2010. Califf celebrated his callup by single-handedly bringing his club from ahead to lose to man city in the UEFA cup. I really don't get it.
Adu should be starting, unless his club won't let him go. No question in my mind. Our midfield is SO uninspiring without Freddy. I expect we will squeak by both Cuba and T and T on a penalty, a set piece, or something. This team is not going to score many if any goals from open play.
