Soccer Going Mainstream?
February 3rd, 2006 | By: Daryl | No Comments »
One small step for MTV, one giant leap for soccer as Landon Donovan’s abode was featured on “Cribs” recently. I didn’t see it but according to this blog Landon’s living space is a little bit cluttered.
Elsewhere in the mainstream media Clint “Deuce” Dempsey does some nice keepy-uppy work in the video for Nike’s “Don’t Tread On Me” campaign to toughen up soccer’s image, which you can see here.
And ESPN Magazine’s annual “Next” issue, which profiles up and coming athletes will have Eddie Johnson and Oguchi Onyewu striking poses for the camera.
