As the game drew to its climactic finish, I remembered the comments by US Team Manager Bruce Arena following Australia's qualification for the finals. Good old Bruce described Australia as World Cup Easybeats. Well Bruce, perhaps you'd better look to your own camp. Further, perhaps yuo'd better start looking for a new job. Well Australia just made it through to the last 16 courtesy of our hard fought draw against Croatia.

Since we've yet to score, looking at 5 goals today is something like planning on winning the lottery. Preparation and focus should be on winning the match, that's all we can try and control. The rest will have to take care of itself. It's a shame both matches are at the same time, I'd really like to follow both since they both have meaning for advancment of all teams. THIS is how the group stages should finish, with things in play for all sides concerned.
