Totti’s Injury

February 20th, 2006 | By: Daryl | 2 Comments »

Francesco Totti’s ankle may be pointing in the wrong direction, but is this good news for Bruce Arena?

I’m saying no, not really. Even though Totti has been in incredible form for Roma (and he has) Italy have plenty of other attackers. Plus I feel like they do better when they’re not focusing on a single playmaker.

I say the we shouldn’t get too excited about any other Group E injuries (eg Jan Koller’s) and just focus on ourselves.

Totti, Rosicky, and Koller are always hurt. It is a good thing from an American prospective. Maybe Messi can break Essien’s leg this Tuesday for us too.

Are you trying to say Totti shouldn’t play? If he feels he is in good enough shape to play, then I say let the man play. He did fine out there, till that idiot tripped him, which was obviously done on purpose.
