Training Camp Losers
Which players from training camp will wish they could turn the clock back to December 2005?
Freddy Adu made his international debut (all eight glorious dive filled minutes of it) against Canada, but didn’t do enough to get another chance. The experience may have taught the little fella some humility though.
Brian Ching may have scored against Guatemala, but some uninspiring displays put him behind Twellman in the pecking order.
Santino Quaranta never really caught fire and will spend the summer playing MLS. Could be worse, most of us will be at the office/factory/store.
Kyle Martino made an amusing comment about Pat Noonan’s left foot, but didn’t do much on the pitch.
Heath Pearce didn’t do a whole lot wrong, but went into training camp level with Todd Dunivant and came out behind.
