USA Finalize World Cup Warm Ups
USA have finalized World Cup preparations with a Send-Off Series on home turf. The new schedule looks like this:
03/22/2006 2:25 PM ET at Germany Westfalenstadion (Dortmund, Germany)
04/11/2006 7:00 PM ET vs. Jamaica SAS Soccer Park (Cary, N.C.)
05/23/2006 6:00 PM CT vs. Morocco The Coliseum (Nashville, Tenn.)
05/26/2006 7:00 PM ET vs. Venezuela Cleveland Browns Stadium (Cleveland, Ohio)
05/28/2006 7:00 PM ET vs. Latvia Rentschler Field (East Hartford, Conn.)
All games are live on ESPN2.

I hope these teams help us in preparations. It seems dubious to me that we’ll get a whole lot out of them, other than playing our last 3 warm-ups in short succession, which is what the 1st round will be like.

I am disappointed that we aren’t playing any of the other World Cup qualifiers outside of the game against Germany. Would have been nice to have a test against an African team that plays like Ghana, but I guess it all comes down to who you can get to come to the states to play that close to the tournament.
