Looking at the entire team, Ghana is the best team in their group. In such tournaments as the World Cup, we dot not depend on individual talents or on past glories. Recall what Greece did to Checz in the last finals! USA is a better team even than Checz and so Ghana will be having a harder time in their next match. I however put in bet on Ghana because they have all reasons to qualify for the next round – they can’t let down Mother Africa.

If the USA plays as badly as it did against the Czechs, then all the USA can expect from Italy is a loss and ditto with Ghana.

Ricky Henderson!? Surely you mean someone else?

Never mind that soccer players are pretty much known to be better all-around athletes than ANYBODY else. None of those guys can run 12 miles with only one break while kicking a ball in 90 minutes. None of them.

The whole idea that other US athletes would automatically be good at football is insane. WHo are the best footballers ever? Let’s say Pele, Maradonna and George Best. All small. All compact. All bottled lightning and magic.

Here’s an idea for Italy. We put Allen Iverson on the left flank, Jason Seahorne and Ricky Henderson as fullbacks and Randy Moss at goalie. That should solve the problem. The current “solution” comprised soft-suburban euro wannabe’s just ain’t gonna cut it.

It looks like there’s no hope, but in football anything can happen. As we used to say there are days when the don’t want you no matter how good you are. You will know it’s not your day the moment you miss three or more clear chances that it is not going to be your day. Lets hope the next game aginst italy that the italians have one of those days as ghana had against them. I think football in this nation has come a long way, just give us few more years until we become on par level with the rest of the world and then we can start to critisize our team with all the negative comments I’ve heard so far all over. But, until then we better keep cool and realize our capabilties or we will end up with high blood presuure everytime the team loses.

We will lose both games. We are simply not good enough. I’m looking at about 5 to 1 against Italy and 3-2 against Ghana.

USA can play 0:0 with Italy
And 3:0 with Gana
But still it have to pray Czech to bea Italy and that is not very possible.
