Who Starts Against Italy?

June 16th, 2006 | By: Daryl | 57 Comments »

Arena has promised changes for tomorrow’s do or die game. If you had Bruce’s job (and it might be available soon) then who would be on your teamsheet for tomorrow?

If you’re really keen on replacing Bruce, or just a bit bored, then you can practice picking the team with BBC’s interactive squad selector.

I’m worried that if EJ scores he’s going to do that do that foolish military salute. The last thing we need is more references/allusions while the Bush administration continues to prosecute their obscenities in Iraq.

Don’t get me wrong, I love EJ…I just dont think he’s quite old enough to understand the consequences of his actions.

they really cant afford to hold back, they will not control this game, its time to put the ball imprint on their keepers hands! have the shot boys.

Put it this way: If Eddie McBride isn’t in the line-up to start the game, the US can fold up their tents and go home: Italy’ll give ‘em a taste of shock and awe. (Thanks, Manzar. “Okay,” go get your teeth checked. They’re exuding that Union Jack halitosis. And thanks for visiting, by the way. In case you forget: http://www.pierretristam.com )

Good luck to the US team! Playing in the Europe against European team is not easy, even for Brazil!

The only major change I would like to see is definitely Eddie Johnson starting as forward. I was disapointed that he did not start and seemed to put forth the most effort of anyone on the team.
Beasley may sit out.. I think he seems weak and not very reliable right now. He does have amazing footwork though. Idk.. tough decision.

looking forward to seeing USA beating Italy and hopefully advancing.. good luck US!!

What result would likely turn out best for the US in the Czech-Ghana game?

Right Stephan, we don t need you coming on this blog denying the world MOST FAMOUS SPORT and the great FIESTA that comes along just because your team keeps losing and you feel a shame about it.

And the english speaking argument is ridiculous as there are many football nations speaking english starting with the UK.

Maybe you just get irritated because football is a microcosm which reveal how limited is your country’s influence when it comes to certain spheres (and there are many of them…) It is not a pleasant thing for ignorants like you who probably always thought that the world merely streches from LA to NY.

You are pathetic.

The headline in my local paper today is “Will U.S. team say arrivederci?”

All I could think in reply was: I hope so! Get out of that stupid tournament and leave this stupid game to all the 3rd world countries that can only afford a dirt field and a ball…instead of real sports.

Anybody who advertises their website on a comment thread is a real bag of shite.

Stick to sport here and save your politics for your left-wing circle jerk sites.

Here is my lineup:

Keller

Pope-Gooch-Bocanegra

Reyna-Mastro

O’Brien-Donovan-Convey

Johnson-McBride

I think O’Brien will go a half and then come off sometime for Dempsey.

FORZA EEUU!!!

VAMOS VAMOS!!!

Stephan, you are just pathetic.

Football (er, soccer) is loved all around the world - do you really think that in Europe we can only afford a “dirt field and a ball”?

Shut up, go home, and play your “real sports”.
