World Cup Qualifier: US vs. Cuba

Unfortunately neither Carter nor I will be able to live blog this one, so I’ve gone ahead and setup a thread in The Offside forum so you can entertain each other with all of your own drug, prostitute, and even match related musings. Enjoy.

Seriously, we have to be the most boring team to watch in the western hemisphere. Just finished USA v Cuba, and am now watching my hometown Real Salt Lake v Galaxy. This MLS game is way more entertaining.
Bradley’s conservative approach to team selection and style of play, and his refusal to put anybody creative in the midfield is wearing thin. This must be what England fans feel like. Yeah, we won, but whata snoozefest. Props though to Tim Howard, and to Gooch, who it seems is really playing well.

I gave up watching after the ESPN360 stream froze every 3 minutes.

I couldn’t agree more CW. I just don’t understand. I had a thought last night that maybe since these games are a bit easier he is leaving the more talented players out of the line-up so they can improve their game with their club and not have to deal with all of the traveling. That is the only excuse I can come up with because honestly WTF? Brian Ching may be the worst pick I have seen for our national team, and he starts almost every fricken game! Demarcus Beasley is in awful shape and shows it every game he plays in (he missed an empty net and made awful runs that ruined perfect passes). Also, the way he plays Michael Bradley and Maurice Edu is probably one of the most confusing things I have ever seen…he has made them clones out there. They crowd the defensive midfield and rarely push forward. I’m over Bradley, he needs to go.

It wasn’t the stream, it was our team.
