Yeah, huge nugget, but that was kind of old news. I did hear that he passed his medical and he'll join the team when they come to America, though.

@SP: you're right on with the Robles comment. I couldn't decide if he was just nervous or if he's really just that bad. Perkins looked like a world class keeper against Honduras compared to Robles against Haiti. That is going to be one of those experiences that either cripples a player or makes him a ton better...we'll see what happens with Luis.

every time holden got the ball, i felt like we were going to have a great possession but then he would make a great pass to someone else and that guy would usually mess it up. holden looked brilliant yesterday through and through.

robles, although i know it's his first game and he's nervous, did TERRIBLE. like worse than the usual nervous-debut-terrible. and he seemed to love shouting at the defenders as if they were supposed to know that he would completely bungle the cross/coming out and leave the goal wide open.

@UB: I don't think we could even call that starting line-up the C team. There are probably 4 players at each position that is better than nearly every player that started last night. In essence the team on the field last night could be considered the F team.

I DVR'd the game and when I started it and saw the starting line-up I just hit fast forward and only watched the goals and the last 14 minutes when there were actual soccer players on the field. There was no point in watching the whole game. Luis Robles was solely responsible for both goals and looked like an absolute fool doing it. Holden is the only reason we tied as he played that ball to Arnaud perfectly and the long range shot was as perfect of a strike as you can have. I understand the game didn't matter and Bob likes to get players caps and yadda yadda yadda but half of the team starting last night should have never been called up in the first place...there is no reason they should be playing in a USMNT kit.

There are many reasons why the US can't get a strong following for soccer and last night was an example of one of them...nobody, not even faithful soccer fans, would want to watch a game with those types of players on the field.
