Dave, I feel ya, but politics & sports have always mixed. Smith, Carlos, Ali. Even Diego Maradona publically offered his support for Hugo Chaves. I’m more worried there isn’t enough politics in sports right now.

It just doesnt seem right to me that the US Womans Coach wouldnt meet with the US President. Political beliefs or not, why drag politics into sport?

Dave, how is it bad for her to politely express her beliefs? She isn’t making a scene and she’s sticking to her guns. Also, she is NOT an American so her teensy little protest isn’t going to be earth shattering.
