Shout out to Cat Whitehill

October 24th, 2009 | By: Melissa | 3 Comments »

US Soccer has been a little slow to update news-starved fans on whereabouts of the USWNT. And almost as if Abby Wambach knew a few tweeters were loudly voicing their complaints (in 140 characters or less), on Oct 20th she updated her twitter: leaving for germany tonight. i will keep you more up to date while i’m there…. maybe!! if not, tune into Cat Whitehill’s twitter account making her post the first news report the team actually left the country. Also true to Abby’s tweet, Cat Whitehill has been twitting up a storm over in Germany keeping the fans up to date.

hoffbrau

drinking beers…

bayern

first row seats at Saturday’s Bayern/Frankfurt game…

castle

kickin it at some creepy scary looking castle that is totally not the house from The Shining (cause that one’s in Oregon)…

So here’s a shout out to Cat for the updates! The game’s on Thursday by the way and despite the fact that the #1 and #2 ranked teams are playing each other, this one does not appear to be available on tv or the internets. Yup.

Gotta love the WNT/WPS players’ accessibility through social media. Even Yael and HAO have joined in on the fun.

The house in The Shining is actually in Estes Park,CO. I’m kind of sure it’s the Stanley Hotel!
