Roster for Guatemala Released, Welcome to the Kids Table

Bob Bradley has released his full 20-man roster for the inconsequential World Cup Qualifying match against Guatemala on Nov. 19. Here she is…
GOALKEEPERS (3): Brad Guzan (Aston Villa), Troy Perkins (Valerenga IF), Matt Pickens (out of contract)
DEFENDERS (6): Jonathan Bornstein (Chivas USA), Sean Franklin (Los Angeles Galaxy), Cory Gibbs (Colorado Rapids), Clarence Goodson (IK Start), Drew Moor (FC Dallas), Michael Parkhurst (New England Revolution)
MIDFIELDERS (5): Freddy Adu (AS Monaco), Ricardo Clark (Houston Dynamo), Sacha Kljestan (Chivas USA), Pablo Mastroeni (Colorado Rapids), John Thorrington (Chicago Fire)
FORWARDS (6): Jozy Altidore (Villarreal), Davy Arnaud (Kansas City Wizards), Conor Casey (Colorado Rapids), Brian Ching (Houston Dynamo), Kenny Cooper (FC Dallas), Chris Rolfe (Chicago Fire)
Additions to the previously released camp roster are from the European contingent struggling for playing time: Jozy Altidore, Freddy Adu, and Brad Guzan.
Those three should all start and add the spark the previously released camp roster was clearly lacking. No offense, Davy Arnaud.
It’s a young roster but should present a great opportunity to see some of the up and coming talent that isn’t quite there yet, as well as those trying to break into starting roles.
Pretty hard to believe we actually have a game around these parts again. Be on the lookout for increased coverage and a liveblog on match night at 6 p.m Mountain Time, 5 p.m. Pacific Time, and 8 p.m. Real People Time. (thanks shivam)
Thoughts on the roster? Do you care about this one?

If Brian Ching starts or plays at all I’m going to bloody bobby’s nose!!!! Also, I will be upset if Pablo starts… I’ve never been a fan of Pablo…

Hopefully, this means Guatemala can sneak in a win ![]()

Oh, btw, correct me if I’m wrong, but the draw for the Hexagonal schedule will be made this Saturday!

I’m so excited for this game. Kenny should just punch a bunch of Guatemalans in the face and score like 34 goals in the first half. Then break Ching’s leg with a karate chop in the 2nd.

I can almost guarantee Pablo will start and probably captain the side. Bob loves to give guys the hometown start and since this games at the home of Pablo’s club team it kind of fits. Here’s my projected starters.
4-2-2-2
GK Guzan
RB Franklin
CB Parkhurst
CB Gibbs
LB Bornstein
RDM Clark
LDM Mastroeni
RAM Adu
LAM Kljestan
RS Cooper
LS Altidore

Yea, Sean Franklin!! This guy deserves a shot. The Guatamalans play nasty and dirty, and I hope our guys kick their butts.
On an unrelated topic, Bob Bradley’s eyes creep me out.

Pseudinho: if that is in fact the starting line-up I will be quite pleased. Always love to see Guzan…want to see more of franklin…and obviously adu, kljestan, cooper and altidore always make for an enjoyable viewing.

Pseudinho- the problem is…dream lineups never happen with Big Bob my guess Ching and Rolfe start….and I break my TV

BMatthews: I feel the exact same way. That would be amazing but I doubt it happens and I doubt I’m pleased about it…that’s putting it lightly.

Since this is a home game, unlike the one against T&T, hopefully our young guys will be a lot more comfortable and show us their true ability.

I’m not “real people?” Carter, you have gone too far this time ![]()

Don’t be sad, Alex. To Carter the only real people are his stuffed bear (Mr. Rumples) and the voice in his pinky finger that tells him to eat airplane glue.
Also, @ BMatt’s first comment: I like the way you think.

Oh Alex, if you have been reading as long as you should have, you would know by now that all of my malice comes from Brook’s bad influence, and he is truly the one to be frown-faced at.
Anyhoo, I can sense the enthusiasm for this meaningless game, and I like it.
Liveblog should be off the chain.

hate to be the anal asshole, but 6 pm mountain time makes it 5 pm pacific and 8 pm “real people” time

Thanks for the heads shivam. Once again, all Brooks. Not even joking.

BMathews: Oh I know. One can dream can’t he. B-squared’s lineups never are the same as what I think they should be. Thus, legitimizing my knowledge of the beautiful game even more. If Bob did pick the same lineups that I picked, I’d be a little worried and question if I really knew the game or not.
