Bradley as the coach? What a joke. The rest of the world is laughing at us. A look at the 3-0 games shows that his team's play is very bad. They never switch the ball -- just going down the center. He would not be able to coach at the div 1 level in the Premier League. And having his son on the field is embarsing at the extreme. He looks ok cause no one will pass him the ball. How can anyone put a second fiddle player that cannot even make a good team. Bradley is an embarrassment to US soccer. I bet the rest of the world is laughing. There is no way to say he is qualified. We need a real coach that has coached at the world level. Beating joke teams to go 3-0 is well a big whatever. .... A European coach that had his son play for him would be shoot. john cook

For some reason I was reluctant to say this for a long time, but I have to admit that Taylor Twellman really should be getting real playing time for the USMNT. I have no idea how well he could do against truly top-notch defending, but he does consistently score. His goals are seldom spectacular but they happen pretty regularly, and until (oh, glorious day) the US is capable of offense like Man U is displaying at the moment, we're going to need somebody who knows how to poke in half-chances.

What a great site! It makes me pumped about US soccer by just reading it.

Anyways, I have a soccer blog I'm trying to get people interested in. It has received positive response so far.

You can find it at http://jmayers.blogspot.com

Thanks and take care. Keep up the good work!

Here's the starting eleven I'd like to see for china and copa: howard, boca, conrad, spector, dempsey, felhaber, bradley, beas, landy, ej and cooper. We're pretty solid at the back and should be up the wings if we can get consistent. Up the middle bradley and felhaber have me excited, but I'm more than concerned about our forward pool. Anyone else?

Hi Dave,

Here's a Wikipedia article on John O'Brien:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/John_O%27Brien_%28soccer%29

According to this article, he suffered in injury during the second half of the Czech Republic v. USA game in the 2006 World Cup which kept him out of the rest of the 2006 Chivas season. It also says that he was released by Chivas following that 2006 season. He was apparently invited to train for the 2007 season with Chivas, but I don't know what came of that.

This question is not pertaining to anything but I cannot find the answer.
does nayone know what happened to John O'Brien? Did he retire, go back to the Neatherlands, or did he go to the reserves?
