Dempsey Named Player Of The Year
Clint Dempsey has been named US MNT Player Of The Year. No arguments here.
Kasey Keller came second, Brian McBride third. DaMarcus Beasley came 10,000th.

Appears there was not much of a choice but even if there was; I think Dempsey deserves it; though, I think McBride had some moments in the tournament. It is lmost too painful to go through the US’s performance, hence not many comments on the team.
Bottomline: the USA was this time, in a situation to what other teams have faced in the past, poor tournament showing but hats off to Ghana who really came to play, the Czechs surprised us; or I think we would have at least gotten out of the group phase.
