Good article. What I like most about Bob Bradley right now is that, while he's bringing in a lot of new faces, he's giving them opportunities in the right way and bringing along guys like Adu & Szetela along slowly. These guys are almost certainly going to be a major part of the 2010 team (hopefully!) but I like that he's making them go the same route Beasley and Donovan went. I love watching Altidore but I can't shake the nervousness that he'll go the route of Eddie Johnson, so Bradley just letting him grow gradually is a good thing right now. Let him and Adu, Szetela, etc shine in the Olympic team and then get them to reinforce the national team. I do think BB was a tad too conservative in this game, offensively, but the spark that the subs gave to us is very encouraging.

What do you make of the left back situation? I'm stunned he brought in (and started!) Eddie Lewis for this game. Isn't Lewis the Cobi Jones-type of player where you know who he is and what he brings, and if the situation calls for him, you bring him (WCQ at Jamaica)? I like Heath Pearce a lot and his experience in the Bundesliga should clearly put him #1 here, but I'm concerned with what we're doing with him, Bornstein and now Lewis.

It's an exciting time to be a US Soccer fan, though. Good job and I can't wait for 2010 (or even the South Africa game, to be honest).
