Consider this my civic duty

February 20th, 2009 | By: Melissa | 9 Comments »

I accepted this illustrious blogger position here at USA World Cup blog with the understanding that I would solely write about the women’s team. But sometimes news of epic proportions breaks that cannot be ignored… also Brooks and Carter refuse to take this one. Recently, E! television did a countdown of the sexiest men in sports and our very own Carlos Bocanegra came in at number 6 (I can’t find the list online so I have no idea who could possibly beat him). I missed this clearly amazing program when it aired but luckily there’s a youtube clip of Carlos’ segment. And judging from the extremely corny comments offered by the celebrity – errr – commentators, I’m guessing it didn’t take much to convince our captain to “frolic” on a beach and do an entire interview with his shirt off. Also, who is the woman who wants to put her big boca in his bocanegra? And is that legal?

Oh. My. God.

“. . . he’s all tan, and all man.” lol

And, “I want my (pink? or big?) mouth in your black mouth.”

Hmm, I *think* it sounded sexier in Spanish.

Alas, there is a reason why he is one of Kickette’s favorites.

Bless you, my child.

Because somebody’s gotta do it.

(Much better with the sound off, though.

This post is also incredibly offensive, so I will be ADDING you to my RSS feed roll.

BTW, I’m not sure it’s really a compliment to have Bridget Marquardt say you’re hot, especially after she just got done sleeping with a decrepit Hugh Hefner for 5 years…

How is it that Jen Sterger is allowed on TV without her cowboy hat?

“All tan and all man”

I agree! I like him…he’s very yummy looking.

Thank you, Melissa for performing your civic duty. You’ve performed great service and your country thanks you.

Has he played for any other French team besides Stade Rennais(that’s where he’s at right now right?) Because then this video would have to be pretty recent.

I’d be willing to bet that Beckham beat him and is in the top 6. They seem obsessed with him over at E!. It’s really funny because sometimes they’ll do a “Becks played blah minutes with Milan against blah this weekend.” A mini match report. And then they pretend to cry because he might stay there.

What I learned from this thread: Brooks and Carter *do* actually have some sense of shame.

Nick: I don’t know if I would call it “shame” so much as an “aversion to half naked dudes.”
