Speak The Hell Up

Listen up, peoples —
Carter and I have decided that you guys (yes, you, reading this right now without your pants on) need to get more involved around here. As you may have noticed, over the last month or so we’ve been posting more frequently and trying out different things and we would love to see more comments from everyone who stops by.
In addition to sharing your thoughts on Team USA, we also want to see your thoughts on which features you like and which you don’t, what you find funny and what you think is lame, and what you want to see more of.
To go along with this participation initiative, we’re going to start up a new feature: each month we will select a Commenter of the Month — someone who displays consistent awesomeness in the comment section. As a reward, the COTM will be given a post on the blog to unleash their thoughts on whatever they want (as long as it’s semi-related to USA soccer, of course). There might also be more tangible rewards in the future, but no promises yet.
So, yeah, speak the hell up, people! Because for every post from here on out that garners fewer than 10 comments, I will infect a puppy with herpes…and there’s no cure for herpes.
Like Paris Hilton’s cooch, this puppy could soon be riddled with herpes if you don’t do your part

How bout some Miss Trinidad & Tabago? Speaking of which, that reminds me — we’re going to have a liveblog for the match Wednesday, so keep an eye out for that!

There is nothing I care more about than puppy herpes. I’ll make the 10 posts by myself if I have to.
And they need to stop having these games on wednesdays, I’ve got league games that night!

I was going to ask which way you were going to infect the puppy, but then I realized I really don’t want to know.

I’m calling the ASPCA or whatevers.

Hey fellas,
Long time reader, first time commenter… Sorry about not speaking up!!! So I’ll rant and rave for a moment here…
USA MNT— Where the hell is Kenny Cooper??? Come on Bob, give the guy a chance!!! Instead we keep trying forwards like Ching, EJ the over hyped goaless phenom, and Clint.
Anybody see the fifa world rankings?? Mexico is above the USA??? Can’t believe it!!! I guess we are at 28 because we can’t get a favorable final score with England, Spain, and AFA.
Why isn’t Gooch at a bigger club??
Why didn’t Everton try to get Boca or Gooch to work with Timmy??
That is my 2 cents… I spoke the hell up!!!

Elle: That’s right, you don’t…
Adam: Report me and you’re next… (just kidding…or am I?)
Lemmon: Good work. Now keep it up!

I guess on a serious note I’d say I like your blog as is. I prefer to keep my comments on “soccer” in a very jestful tone to stop myself from taking it too seriously and neglecting my studies and social life. That said, about once or twice a day I want to strike Bob Bradley across the head with something heavy. I wake from afternoon naps and think myself, “I could make a better roster than him. I could manage the USMNT better than Bob Bradley.” Perhaps my record in Football Manager doesn’t reflect that, and in actuality I probably couldn’t. Yet, with so many fans second guessing him can you blame me? Is there anyone out there who thinks Bob Bradley knows what he’s doing? I’m planning on going to the World Cup in 2010 and I want to be hopeful because we have a lot of great young talent, but what’s the point of being hopeful when I know we can’t go anywhere with the way Bob Bradley manages?

Well Carter and Brooks…I know you both enjoy all of my posts so I will continue to post whiny annoying posts talking about the things I hate about the coaching and player selection of the USMNT. However, once and a while I will post positive things such as…
Gooch has improved a crap load in my opinion and definitely deserves a big contract from a bigger club come January.
All the negativity around Boca confuses me as I think he has been a rock in the back.
Also, count me as one of the few that appreciates the cheekiness of Dempsey as he is the only player in the pool Bradley seems to be going with that ever tries anything out of the ordinary.
When Bob starts calling up the likes of Cooper, Altidore and Adu I will have more to say that is positive.

Oh also I love the updates of quality performances by U.S. players in Europe. I would never have found out about the hat trick by Jozy otherwise.

Congrats, GS, you saved the puppy!
For now.

from who knows what kind of herpes infection

Love what you guys are doing for us USA soccer fans. I’ve been a long time reader and 1st time poster. Carter and Brooks keep up the good work. I love as many updates as possible. One feature that I would like to see is something similar to what yanks-abroad.com has. Every so often they say who will be the 23 players on the US roster for South Africa 2010. Maybe you two could do a similar thing every month or so often. I definitely will now continue to post my opinion. Thanks again!

Bob Bradley may not be the best manager of International football/soccer, but I’d rather have him than Bruce Arena!!!
Also, I agree with GS… Why in the world did Fulham get rid of Boca? Why didn’t anybody else pick him up (other than Rennes)?
