Hola, Mexico

USA v. Mexico. The rivalry is to be renewed at Reliant Stadium in Houston on Feb. 6. Gonna be another pro-Mexico crowd, but that didn’t seem to be a problem for the Stars and Stripes in Arizona now did it?
Should be a tough test for our youngsters. I think the Giovanni Dos Santos vs. Freddy Adu debate thread just got a bump.

As a Portuguese fan of Benfica, I have been keeping tabs on Freddy Adu since his arrival to our Estadio da Luz. I have to say though that I would rather have the Mexican startlet on our team than Adu. Adu hasn’t done much for us, and all I hear are great things about Giovanni dos Santos. In a radio interview I heard FC Barcelona’s manager praise him, and I’ve read newspapers that say he is a new Ronaldinho-like football prodigy. We’ll see what happens in your friendly against Dos Santos’s team, I am certainly going to watch it because I have heard a lot of comparisons between the two players. Nevertheless though, I hope Benfica bids for Giovanni come the transfer window, I would rather have Adu go out, he has been nothing but a disappointment and I wouldn’t mind a player of Giovanni’s calibre to help us take the league, since we placed third last year and I feel we should have been champions instead.
