US Soccer Round Up

Some things for you to chew on as you ponder the possible starting lineup that Bob will use…

-Danny Szetela made his first Racing Santander appearance this week, starting and going 66 in a scoreless draw against Málaga. Szetela completed 20 passes and made 2 steals…God bless the man that’s job is to count Danny Szetela’s completed passes, for without him yanks abroad followers would be lost.

-The US squad held a clinic in South Africa a few days ago, check the sites and sounds from the Studio 90 crew. Be on the lookout for Dempsey pulling some absurd juggling moves. The kids there are pretty impressive too.

Also check out a little safari action from the US boys. The pic of Sacha in the hat on the front page of ussoccer.com is quite possibly the greatest photo in US soccer history.

- As if the Jozy circus wasn’t crazy enough this week, Real Madrid and Atletico Madrid are considering a bid for the kid. If you didn’t see this coming (a super club like Real being interested) you must have not been paying attention. Jozy was always going to demand interest from the best in the world and he will probably garner the highest transfer fee for an American ever. It is officially Jozy rumors season, let the show begin.
