USA Round-Up (U-23’s/Qualifying)
The U-23’s played their second match against the Olympic hosts, resulting in another draw, though this time there was some scoring to be seen. Robbie Rogers, Patrick Ianni, and Charlie Davies accounted for the USA’s trifecta of tallies.

A pair of dissapointing results, but Nowak has time to iron out the issues with this unique collection of players.
The qualifying groups for the olympic tournament in which these U-23’s will participate in was announced today, with the US landing in Group A (Tampa): Cuba, Honduras, Panama, USA. They should breez through, but then again that was what was said about these two friendlies in some places.

As a fan I personally do overlook qualifying as a nice round of friendlies to prepare the squad for the Cup, and I feel I am entitled to for a few reasons. One being that this is Concacaf, ‘nough said. The other being, as fans, we hahve earned that right thanks to the recent history of our national team dominating the region.
That said, the players in no way should overlook qualifying for the World Cup or Olympics for that matter. That is when you get bitten in the ass.
The season of snoozing continues, Mexico awaits us on the other side of the calander…
