Weekend Update

A few things US Soccer to get caught up on as you continue waiting for the Olympic roster release…
-Danny Szetela will be moving to Serie B club Brescia permanently from Racing Santander. Danny was a consistent starter with Brescia towards the end of last season and will again play a significant role in a realistic bid for promotion. One of the few instances where a move to a second division team from a first one can be considered a good one.
-Benny Feilhaber was finally released by Derby County, allowing him to try and find work elsewhere in Europe. Wonder who is interested…
-The U-17’s toppled Uruguay 2-0 in Montevideo thanks to goals from Jack McInerney and Carlos Martinez.
-The U-20’s likewise beat up on Mexico. The score was 3-0 to the Americans due to goal from defender Sheanon Williams followed by a brace from exciting forward prospect Peri Marosevic.
