Well worth dragging my tired behind out of bed at 6:00 this morning, even though I was watching the beach volleyball girls till after midnight. (I'll be glad when Olympics are over.) I didn't see them winning either -- no offensive firepower. But the defense kicked butt, starting with Hope, and the team as a whole moved and held the ball well. It was just that whenever Brazil finally got the ball, they looked horribly threatening. I think I want to have Carli Lloyd's babies. Oh. Wait. Great game. In the first half it was all Brazil. Everytime we got the ball to the midfield brazil would close us down and force players to dribble towards our own goal.
