Maurice Edu: “For That Split Second, I Felt On Top of the World.”
Last week, we (indirectly) brought you a radio interview with USA Defender Jay DeMerit. This week, it’s Midfielder Maurice Edu who got on the line with local morning radio program Elliot in the Morning. Amongst other things, Edu discussed the controversial game against Slovenia, his momentary glee, Jozy Altidore’s apparent addiction to rage-a-hol, and the upcoming match against Algeria.
Things learned from this interview:
1) Apparently, Serena Williams and Ocho Cinco follow the USMNT like it’s their job.
2) Maurice Edu should probably avoid a career in standup… Let’s just say, he’s pretty focused…
3) Crying American fans make him very happy.
4) Education is important… Apparently, Edu “at some point” plans on finishing his schooling at the University of Maryland…
