More Detailed Highlights of the US-Ecuador Friendly on USSoccer.com

March 26th, 2007 | By: Connor Fabiano | No Comments »

The US MNT v. Ecuador video gallery (link) at ussoccer.com has more detailed highlights than what I posted last evening.

Instead of just the goals, you get to see several of the missed opportunities and chances that the US had. Ecuador had a lot of chances in the first half, but only one is shown.

For those of you who weren’t able to watch the match, this is a much better way to catch you up on what you missed (although a few of the camera angles aren’t the best).

Amidst the three Donovan goals, you’ll also see a header attempt by Brian Ching which almost went in. Ching was kicked in the face during the process and temporarily left the field with a bleeding nose (Brian McBride v. Italy anyone?). He was back though and as aggressive as ever, completely undeterred by his previous injury. He is fearless.

Also take a look at the goal Clint Dempsey didn’t score. I’m sure he’s upset with that one, as it would have been one of the easier finishes of his career.
