Now or Never, Weezer Sings US On!

Well, if ever there was a time to put this video up, it’s tonight, as we are just 12 hours away from our next defining moment against Ghana.

World Cup baby and die-hard USMNT fan Rivers Cuomo from Weezer cut this song and video, where on the USSF youtube channel it’s listed as the ‘unofficial’ anthem for U.S. soccer. On the other hand, the USMNT are officially out of the group stage and into the knockout round, and each game is now life or death. This is where tactics and form go out the window and the truly great play with their hearts on their sleeves.

I’ll be blaring this song tomorrow morning as I wake up to get dressed and fired up. So should you.

It may not be as classic as Don’t Tread, but it sure beats this odd Japanese World Cup song and German Gummibears.
