US and China to Battle in San Jose; Brief Recap of the Year
Today US Soccer announced that the US MNT will face China on June 2 in San Jose, California. This will be the final friendly before the Gold Cup and Copa America take place.
Kick off is at 5 PM PT in Spartan Stadium, where China and the United States will meet for the eighth time. The US have a winning record against the Chinese at 4-1-2 with the Americans outscoring 13-6.
ESPN2 and Galavision will broadcast live, along with ussoccer.com’s MatchTracker.
Here’s a brief recap of the year so far followed by a schedule leading up to this summer’s tournament action:
January 4
Training begins as 27 players hop around in navy blue for 92 minutes at The Home Depot Center. The 2010 cycle officially kicks off.
January 20
The Americans beat Denmark 3-1 in a domestic league vs. domestic league friendly. Goals come from Mr. Donovan, Jonathan Bornstein, and Kenny Cooper.
February 7
The United States upsets the pro-Mexican crowd in Glendale, Arizona when they shut out Mexico 2-0.

Also: The international season really isn’t set up to mesh with US soccer, is it? It’s not going to pay for our MLS teams to have a lot of international players.

Yes the MLS season is very different it seems. It’s easy to copy the table, you just have to find it in a page by viewing the source.
